I’ve heard from many business owners over the years that making videos is a problem for them.

Not because they don’t have good enough recording equipment, but because they don’t know what to say.

Well, if that sounds like you, today is your day.

Here are 4 simple steps to write a short video script so you can make your next video as soon as today!

The Opening

In this section, you’re putting together the first 3 – 5 seconds of your video.

Start with the dramatic part of a story that happened to you or someone you know.

Ex. Two weeks ago, I was nearly run off the road by a bad driver. It scared me so bad I had to pull over to get myself back together!

What this will do is automatically grab someone’s attention because you start off with high drama!

If you remember those soap operas or tv shows nowadays that end the episode with cliff hangers, it’s because they want to keep your attention, so don’t you think it would be a good idea to start off with it?

Amplify The Emotion

Here you can “twist the knife” on the problem that was just introduced. Or you can talk about an inspirational aspect that can lift the person’s spirits.

Example: Maybe you’ve had a similar experience. Someone runs you off the road, your boss yells at you, or your dog runs away. All of these situations create negative emotions such as anger, fear, or self-doubt.

When these life events happen our nervous systems get shifted into the fight or flight system, and we all need a fast way to bring ourselves back together.

Introduce The Solution

Now, it’s time to introduce the solution to the problem. AKA, your product or service.

Don’t mistake this part as the pitch that comes shortly after. No, this is the part where you introduce your product/service.

Think of it as introducing a friend that helped you out with a situation, you wouldn’t immediately start saying, “You can get a free consultation, just ask him right now!”

You would explain who they are, and how they’re beneficial to you.

Example: That’s why I created the 60-second Mind Reset Technique.

It combines three scientifically proven methods that relax the nervous system and brings us back into a peaceful and balanced state in as little as 60 seconds for most people.

Give a Call to Action (CTA)

Now it’s time to tell people what to do next.

Common CTA’s are: click here, book a call, stay tuned for more content, etc.

Example: Right now I’ve got a FREE training that shows you how to use the 60-second Peaceful Mind Reset for yourself. Simply click the button below and fill out the form on the next page and hit the submit button.
